The Hippocratic Resource is a completely non-profit organization that depends on contributions from members and the public at large for funds needed to promote its Hippocratic respect-for-life agenda and activities, including production and dissemination of educational materials, research of medical and scientific literature, production and dissemination of paper copies of our newsletter, production and placement of billboards, office maintenance, official in-state travel, payment of fees, etc. The Resource was formally incorporated as a non-profit organization in the State of Louisiana on February 7, 2008; however, a final ruling by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service for tax exemption as a formal non-profit 501(c)(3) organization is still pending.
