The Hippocratic Resource was established in 2001 as an organization of physicians, dentists, nurses, and other health-care professionals who adhere to the principles of the Hippocratic Oath that has governed the practice of Medicine for some 2,500 years, providing ethical guidance and protection for both practitioner and patient since the time of its namesake author, Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine.

The Purposes of The Hippocratic Resource are:

1.      To uphold, practice and promulgate the principles of the Hippocratic Oath, particularly its proscriptions against abortion, assisted suicide and euthanasia.

2.      To maintain and teach a profound respect for human life from its earliest beginnings until natural death, based on the realization that its author is God, our heavenly Father, and that we are, at most, co-creators and stewards.

3.      To serve as a resource of accurate, current and truthful biologic and medical knowledge regarding life issues for our community leaders, state and federal legislators, members of the judiciary, and the media.

4.      To speak and teach the Hippocratic truth regarding human reproduction, abortion, euthanasia and other life issues to schools, community groups and other gatherings, particularly as these issues impact on family and community life.
